I have over 18 years publishing experience working across magazines, newspapers and websites. I started out in publishing in London working for MICP, a major contract publisher, and then The European newspaper before making the move down to the South West where I published the music magazine business at Future.

I joined Origin when the business founded in 1997, where I set up our customer publishing portfolio (subsequently sold to BBC Magazines) before moving across to develop the newsstand magazine business. I became Managing Director in 2003.

I qualified professionally in 1981 and prior to joining Origin, held increasingly senior financial roles in a number of industrial groups, such as that of Group Finance Director of Electoral Group Limited, a manufacturing company with operations in the UK and several European countries.

I joined Origin as Financial Director in 2003, making my debut in the publishing industry.

I have over 14 years experience working in consumer magazines. I started off in editorial at Mediamark and then joined Future Publishing, where I edited a number of titles. I joined Origin in 1999, helping to launch magazines and grow the business. I was instrumental in setting up Origin’s editorial training programme and continue to be involved in people development at the company.

I became Publishing Director in April 2006 and hold particular responsibility for the craft and hair portfolios.

I learned the ropes of magazine publishing over 10 years ago working in production in London for a wide array of consumer and customer magazines. I made the trip from London to Bristol (via four continents and a world tour!) in 2001 when I joined Origin.

I became Production Director in April 2006, leading our growing production, advertising production and reprographics teams. The past few years have been an exciting time - not only have we taken under our wing new areas of responsibility such as reprographics, but we have also received industry-wide recognition through being awarded PPA Production Team of the Year.
